RTS Labs Is Growing – and the News Is Getting Out
Breaking news! Lots of it! RTS Labs has been making headlines throughout the Greater Richmond Metro Area, including Henrico County, for being a source of economic development and a positive force in the community.
Jyot Singh, our founder and CEO, has always wanted to make a positive impact with RTS Labs – for our clients, our employees, and our community at large! It looks like that mission is paying off in big ways between the great reports we’re getting in the media and with the brand new office space we just moved into!
Here are some of the top news stories that have appeared recently about RTS Labs. The news is so exciting, we just had to share!
Good news for Henrico County
For those who don’t know the area, RTS Labs is based in the Greater Richmond Metro Area, but our offices are officially located in Henrico County. We love being in Henrico and are proud of the recent press the county has received. CBRE, a national commercial real estate firm, recently named Henrico and the Richmond region the sixth fastest growing tech hub in the country. Our pool of tech talent in the area has grown by 15% from 2012-2017. Not only does this good press and this high-tech activity help further promote the region, it shows that RTS Labs is in good company among a number of Henrico businesses also contributing to this growth.

Props from the governor of Virginia
This fall, the governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam, released a statement congratulating RTS Labs on our growth and commending us for our commitment to creating more jobs.
In a press release, Governor Northam said, “RTS Labs’ decision to expand its headquarters in Henrico County will further advance the region’s position as a leader in information technology, a sector with significant anticipated growth and upward mobility. Supporting successful companies like RTS Labs that create high-quality, 21st-century jobs for Virginians is one of my top priorities as Governor, and the Commonwealth is proud to partner with this innovative business as it more than doubles its workforce.”
We are elated to be a part of The Virginia Economic Development Partnership Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP). VJIP provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs or experiencing technological change in order to support employee training activities. As part of this program, we have committed to creating 90 new jobs!

The Richmond Times-Dispatch comes for a visit
Tammie Smith, a journalist with Richmond Times-Dispatch, came out to visit our new space, to interview Jyot, and to take pictures – all to better tell the story of how we’ve grown and how our growth is having a positive impact on the community. We are so honored to see our story being told like this, because we hope it will inspire others, whether they want to start their own companies, scale up existing companies, or simply try a new career path in the tech sector! We’ve worked hard to get here and have built a company culture we are truly proud of. Jyot’s quote in RTD sums it up perfectly:
“We hire for attitude. Everything else can be trained. So we hired a bartender, and he is our best front-end developer. We’ve hired people who have been chefs and made them DevOps engineers. It’s something unique about our culture. … You don’t have to be a computer science graduate to work here. We’ve created an environment of learning and growth.”
